Why are we called Gate 7?
Chairman, Keith Wickham, is a lifelong white water canoeist, with National and International successes to his name. In Canoe Slalom, a spectacular sport held over rapids with ‘gates’ to negotiate, it is long held that everyone starts the course in great style, tackling the first half dozen gates strongly. On arriving at Gate 7, that is when the tough get going and the weaker competitors start to tire. The real competition starts with Gate 7!!

Founded by Keith Wickham in 2000 the companys vision was to supply a specialist service to the Industrial Automotive market. With companies in the UK and USA, Keith and his team embarked on a journey that has seen Gate 7 expand its customer base across Europe, USA and Asia and become leading experts in their field. Gate 7 have successfully transferred this knowledge and expertise in developing solutions for the Construction, Agricultural and Industrial markets.

In 2005 Gate 7 were proud to be awarded the Queens Awards for Enterprise (International Trade), which is seen as a great achievement. Further recognition of Export success has been made locally with the Business Awards on both a regional and national platform.

“Gate 7s mission is to enhance global customers' products using industry expertise with an absolute commitment to providing outstanding customer service and value, delivering a quality product, first time, every time.”

It is very much a family culture at Gate 7, our management philosophy is to always conduct our business in a manner that exemplifies integrity and strong ethical values and to provide a safe, secure working environment for our employees, with ample opportunity for personal growth and advancement. Keith, Kate & Sophie form a large part of the UK management team.

Our family history also goes beyond the Wickham’s, John & Clare Reay manage our US facilities, John formally a director of Gate 7 Ltd, relocated to the US with his wife Clare to set up production in the US in 2008 and in 2013 we opened a new custom built American Headquarters in Greencastle, PA. John’s mother Sandra also works at the UK facility in collation and his son Daniel has worked at both facilities in a gap year before he went to University. We also have the Chapman brothers in our US facility, Josh (Production Supervisor) and his brother Jason who runs one of the printing lines. Both our locations have excellent employee retention and as soon as a new position is available we are inundated with requests for interviews from friends and family of our current workforce. We are only as good as our people, so we strive to make both facilities a great working environment

Our success in this has led to the development of long-term business partnerships with major clients in North America, Europe, and the Far East.
